Standard Specification Guideline

Furnish and install a package, totally self contained roof mount air conditioning system is certified by The Birdwell Company to be in conformance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for Class I, Group D, Division I outdoors (condenser section) and General Purpose indoors (evaporator section). The roof-top assembly shall include a full hermetic compressor, direct drive condenser fan, direct drive evaporator fan, condenser coil and evaporator coil. The indoor ceiling assembly shall include built-in 1.6 KW electric heat (optional), return air filter, supply grille and built-in thermostat.

The unit cabinet and internal chassis shall be constructed of 16 gauge type 304 stainless steel (type 316 optional). The evaporator and condenser coils shall have copper tubes and aluminum fins epoxy coated for corrosion protection (Heresite baked phenolic coated coils are optional.) The evaporator section shall be insulated with 1" thick, 1 1/2 lbs. density acoustic insulation.

The unit controls shall include a built-in thermostat, high refrigerant pressure cut-out switch, solid state time delay relay to prevent short cycling and frost control to stop compressor in the event of coil icing due to dirty filter, etc. The units shall be equipped with high and low refrigerant pressure service ports for aid in servicing the system.

The system shall be a Model BAR13-OD11-(H) as manufactured by the Birdwell Company in Houston, Texas (no equal). Manufacturer reserves the right to change any product specifications without notice.
