Standard Specifications Guideline

Furnish and install a packaged, totally self contained, explosion proof (condenser section only) wall mount air conditioner certified by The Birdwell Company to be in compliance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards; the condenser (outdoor) section is Class 1, Division 1, Groups C, & D or optional Class 1, Division 2, Groups C & D. The Evaporator (indoor) section is General Purpose. The unit shall include a full hermetic compressor. The blowers shall be spark resistant. Unit options shall include matching enclosure mounting frame for quick and inexpensive installation cost and Thermoguard, Heresite baked phenolic or epoxy coil coatings for corrosion protection.

The entire unit shall be constructed of 16 gauge type 304 (type 316 optional) stainless steel for maximum protection from corrosive environments. The evaporator and condenser coils shall have copper tubes and aluminum fins. A pre-trapped 3/8" FIPT condensate drain connection located under unit shall be provided.

The unit shall include a hot gas bypass and fan cycle control for low ambient operation to -20F. The unit shall be equipped with refrigerant sight glass with moisture indicator for aid in servicing system.

The system shall be a model BCC24X as manufactured by The Birdwell Company in Houston, Texas (no equal). Manufacturer reserves the right to change any product specifications without notice.
