      The 8, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 ton BWMDVD-CF units are air cooled packaged wall mount cooling units certified by The Birdwell Company to be in conformance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for various hazardous locations (general purpose is available as an option). The unit cabinet and internal chassis are stainless steel. Unit options include electric heat, humidification, de-humidification reheat control, Heresite baked phenolic or epoxy coated coils and programmable thermostats. Water cooled wall mount units are available as an option. These units are installed on the outside structure wall with only the return/supply grille inside the structure. Operating voltages available are 208/230-1-50/60, 208/230-3-50/60 or 460-3-50/60.

       

      Standard Specifications Guideline


      Furnish and install a packaged, totally self contained, explosion proof (general purpose optional) wall mount air conditioner ETL certified by Intertek Testing Services to be in compliance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for Class I or II, Divisions I or II hazardous locations. The unit shall include an *explosion proof full hermetic compressor. The evaporator and condenser fan motors shall be *explosion proof. High voltage electrical controls shall be in one NEMA 7 *explosion proof control box. Low voltage electrical controls shall be served by an intrinsically safe relay. Unit options shall include *explosion proof electric heat and Heresite baked phenolic or Thermoguard coatings for corrosion protection.
      The entire unit shall be constructed of 16 gauge type 304 (type 316 optional) stainless steel for maximum protection from corrosive environments. The evaporator and condenser coils shall have copper tubes and aluminum fins. The evaporator section shall be insulated with 1" thick 1 1/2 lbs. density acoustic insulation. The compressor shall be mounted on internal and external vibration isolators for quiet operation. The compressor shall be high efficiency full hermetic type with crankcase heater. A pre-trapped 3/4" FIPT condensate drain connection located under unit shall be provided.
      The unit controls shall include a thermostatically controlled expansion valve, high and low refrigerant pressure cut-out switches, solid state time delay relay to prevent short cycling and frost control to stop compressor in the event of coil icing due to dirty filter, etc. The unit shall be fully serviceable from side access doors and external grilles. Service doors shall be double wall, internally insulated. Provide service valves for pump-down capability. The unit shall be equipped with refrigerant sight glass with moisture indicator for aid in servicing system.
      The system shall be a model BWMDVD__X__C__ as manufactured by The Birdwell Company in Houston, Texas (no equal). Manufacturer reserves the right to change any product specifications without notice. *(Div. 1 units)
